You might have heard the term "Raster to Vector",or read somewhere.
Wondering what is Vector is?Or who cares,I don't even know what a Raster,"so what gives man"?
Well you should start caring if you deal with digital pictures, unless you live in cave with no technology or civilization nearby at all.
But if that is not that the case read on. :)
Raster is defined as in Wikipedia as :
"In computer graphics, a raster graphics image is a dot matrix data structure representing a generally rectangular grid of pixels, or points of color, view able via a monitor, paper, or other display medium. Raster images are stored in image files with varying formats"
Ref:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raster_graphics
Ok you don't understand the lingo.Let me make it simpler, you know the normal digital images you deal with in your PC ,mobile, etc are #Raster Images.
The above image of girl is a raster image. Comprendo Amigo?
Has a pretty a smile too.
So why should you need a Vector if Raster picture is allright.
Actually the problem arises if you need the picture for designing especially a billboard. Then you need to zoom the picture.
So we open Ms.Pretty Smile in #Adobe Photoshop:
Here is what the picture looks like when opened Photoshop:
Next we zoom the image and let us see:
Now We cant use Ms.Pretty Smile in a billboard ,can we.This why we need a vector.

Remove Background
Clipping Path is one of the most important parts of image editing service. Clipping Path helps us to remove Background of an image that is not necessary or not prior to the other subjects of the images. One of the most common things spoiling a photo is improper background. In that case, Background removal is necessary as we may not need all the objects that are available in an image. Inappropriate backstage, casual objects or people, or just a background that doesn’t look presentable – all of these is unacceptable on a portrait photograph or product photograph where a single subject is prior to any other objects present in that image. This is when we can use the service clipping path to remove backgrounds of the image that are not necessary at all. To see the process check the following images, where the process is completed step by step. After clipping the subject of an image, the existing Background was removed to place the image on a website. We can also resize the image as per the client may need for an e-commerce site or for any other website.
1 Selecting The Subject to Cut Out:
Here the subject of the image is being selected to clip using Photoshop tools to cut out the background.
2 Clipping the Subject:
Here we are using Adobe Photoshop Pen tool to clip the image accordingly our need to cut out the subject only.
